The most recent technological developments – between 3d printers and communication tools – have considerably widened the catchment area and the geographical scope of designers. Today they have become, often and willingly, “makers” – i.e. self-producers.
This has allowed them to design and propose their creations to an increasingly wide and receptive public, often in the format of “limited series”.
That is to say, the usual mechanism of searching for a producer has been missed – something that has allowed many designers to be noticed on the international scene.

So let’s give space to an initiative that aggregates these creative drives, and proposes them in a fair, with a name that is very fitting (literally – from one to one hundred): Daunoacento.
At its second edition, Daunoacento – under the art direction of Gumdesign – is a collective space that exhibits products in limited editions. These are both unique pieces and handcrafted runs, up to – precisely – 100 pieces, created by designers, or published in small series by companies.
A sort of collective design arena, then, for products that, precisely because of their function, will not have competition.
Therefore, an innovative operation, which will allow retailers, interior designers, buyers and design fans to discover a limited and quality offer, without having to look for the proverbial “needle in the haystack” – finding unique objects which are not subject to the sometimes perverse logics of serial production.
A new important reference for those who prefer the search for originality and excellence of design, to propose to a wide public objects at an affordable price, but always and in any case, in limited edition.
You will find Daunoacento in the next Homi, from 14 to 17 September 2018, at Hall 10 – Stand D30 C29
