Among the many events of the Milan Design Week 2018, Ferruccio Laviani celebrated his collaboration with Emmemobili at the Dolce&Gabbana Metropol theatre, designed by Laviani himself in 2005, in the Peep-O-Rama show.
Ferruccio Laviani collaborates with Emmemobili since 1991, as creative director. In recent years, the company has established itself internationally, and today is recognized as one of the most important brand of design made in Italy, thanks to the many icon products designed by Laviani.
The exhibition at the FuoriSalone in Milan, inspired by the tradition of Burlesque, was the perfect setting for these furnishings, which for the most part are embellished with a material research which makes them almost unique pieces, such as sculptures.
Emmemobili has a long tradition in woodworking: created in the ’80s by the Tagliabue family, founder of a historic carpentry company in Cantù – the area with the highest density of design furniture companies in the world -, over the years has developed an original identity, based on material research. The passion for wood of the family is reflected in the high quality of Emmemobili products: each piece is built and finished with a care for details that makes it unique. The designers’ research, combined with their craftsmanship, leads to creations that stand out for their shapes, colours, finishes and details.
